HAA hosts a wide range of programs focused on the professional development of industry professionals across various levels.

ACES - Apartment Community Executives & Supervisors
ACES (Apartment Community Executives and Supervisors) is an exclusive special interest group at HAA for management executives (regional supervisors and corporate executives). Luncheons are hosted at venues around Houston and feature a visiting speaker and topic geared toward management leadership.

Avenues Series
Avenues is HAA's premier education series that features 13 sessions led by nationally-acclaimed speakers and experts that provide professional development across various topics including leadership, maintenance, technology, and marketing. Perfect for all levels of experience.

Blue Star Program
The Blue Star Certification Program is a joint effort by the Houston Police Department and HAA. Created for rental properties of all sizes, the program's goal is to help law enforcement officials and the multifamily housing industry work together to effectively reduce criminal activity in rental properties.

Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
Dispel the myths in pool care and tremendously reduce chemical expenses while extending the life of your pool. Successful completion of this exam offers apartment industry personnel a five year certification from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance.

Excel Course (Beginner and Intermediate)
A two-level Excel Course. Choose between Excel 101: Beginner and Excel 102: Intermediate, and either learn to conquer your fear of the spreadsheet, or go beyond the basics and master Microsoft Excel and many of its powerful features. 

HAA Education Conference and Expo
HAA's annual Education Conference boasting morning education sessions followed by a keynote luncheon and HAA Expo trade show. 

Fair Housing Seminars
This comprehensive and interactive seminar is packed with Fair Housing information to help you stay proactive, not reactive. Attending a Fair Housing training seminar annually ensures that you and your teams understand Fair Housing laws and remain in compliance with Fair Housing. You will learn best practices in avoiding discrimination and fostering an inclusive environment.

Leasing 101 - Intro to Leasing and the Apartment Industry
From Fair Housing to today’s terminology and sales techniques, the industry’s most seasoned and dynamic instructors educate students on the boundless potential that awaits those who choose the apartment management industry for their career path. This course is intended as an introduction to the apartment industry for new leasing professionals, as well as those individuals looking to learn more about the industry as a career. 

TAA Redbook Seminars
Sharpen your knowledge of your legal rights and responsibilities as a rental housing owner or manager by participating in one of the REDBOOK seminars being offered at HAA. Seminars emphasize changes in management practices required by new laws and updates to key regulatory issues that affect property management. Hosted every other year.

The Legal Minute
The first Thursday of each month, HAA will release a series of videos by legal topic with multiple videos for each chosen theme. Don’t miss this continuously building library of legal information, with subscriber access all year long.
