To enhance the skills of the apartment community supplier, resulting in individuals with increased professionalism and an improved knowledge of the needs of today's apartment community managers and supervisors.
Course Schedule and Fees:
Check-in and registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Course is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Total Program Cost: $695 (30% premium for nonmembers) - fee includes complete electronic curriculum, light breakfast and lunch during classes, and initial examination fee
CAS Credential Qualifications:
-Complete the Supplier Success Course
-Employment within the apartment industry in a supplier position
-Successful completion of all CAS coursework (totaling 26 hours)
-Pass the CAS exam within 6 months of declaring candidacy
-Sign an agreement not to solicit products in classroom
Students who complete the requirements will receive a national certificate and pin. Credential maintenance requires completion and submission of continuing education (CE) credits and dues to the National Apartment Association. Candidates are allowed six months from the date of enrollment to meet all program requirements. If the requirements are not met in the time allotted, an extension fee must be paid to the National Apartment Association to extend candidacy for six months.
CAS candidates are required to attend five specific modules of the CAM curriculum (offered three times a year) along with management students pursuing the CAM credential, as well as one course created solely for supplier members (offered in person once a year with online options available). Required Modules listed as follows:
- CAS: Supplier Success (online)
The below modules are taken in conjunction with the CAM classes:
- Industry Math
- Industry Essentials & the Resident Experience
- Financial Management
- Risk Management
