Food Drive

2018 logo

The Houston Apartment Association has been collecting food for the Houston Food Bank since 1983.   All members are encouraged to collect food at your corporate locations and apartment communities.  We would like to challenge all Regional Managers to sign up the properties in your portfolio.    The challenge will measure what your portfolio is able to collect and the most items collected from November 1st through December 5th.   We will award based on total number of items collected.  If you are the Regional Manager with the most items collected you will win a two night stay with your family/friends in any Omni Hotel/Resort location nationwide!! **Based on availability.

We will also have prizes for the competing properties that collect the most items.  Sign up here

The collection drive is during the month of November.  Food should be dropped off by noon on Wednesday, December 5.

Drop off all collected food by noon on December 5 to one of these locations below:

Camp Construction, 15139 S Post Oak Rd, 77053 or

Cotton Commercial, 3600 Brittmoore Road, Suite #190, 77043

Ideas for collecting at your apartment communities

  1. Identify central and highly visible areas, and designate them as your official display/food collection locations.
  2. Decorate a display/food collection area and a box for food collection (does not need to be from the Food Bank) to draw attention to collection & to make your food drive more fun.1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes will be given to the property with the best decorated display.
  3. Place a flier at each resident's door or in your newsletter or place a flier in the mailbox area to announcing you will be collecting food during November and where to donate.   Here is a sample flier
