2008 Maintenance Mania - SOLD OUT (spectators welcome)


A full-day event dedicated to the celebration and education of HAA's maintenance and service professionals! Compete for a shot at the National Championship or come to cheer on your favorite compeitor -- The 2nd Annual Maintenance Mania Event is Friday, April 11th!

Though SOLD OUT for Competitors, Spectators are Welcome!

Program Details
Friday, April 11, 2008
Location: Holiday Inn Select
2712 Southwest Frwy at the Kirby exit. Parking is $2.

Program Fees
Competition participants: $75 per person for the whole day (includes seminar registration, breakfast, lunch and competition events). Spectator: $20 per person. Come cheer on your favorite teams! Open to all members and includes access to afternoon competition events as a spectator.

New for 2008: No teammates required - All participants are eligible to compete as individuals!

Event Schedule
8:30 a.m. - Seminar Registration
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Seminars
12 p.m. to 1 p.m. - Lunch
1 p.m. - Competition Registration and Race Car Practice Runs
2 p.m. - Competition Events Begin
4 p.m. - Race Car Competition Begins
4:30 p.m. - Awards and Medal Ceremony 5:30 p.m. - Event concludes

In addition to a morning educational program, attendees will compete against other Maintenance Professionals in a series of skill-based competitions that challenges them to exhibit talents used on the job every day. Compete for a chance at the National Title -- one participant from each region will compete at the National Event at the 2008 NAA Education Conference in Orlando and will receive an all-expense paid trip to attend!

  • Light Bulb Installation
  • Lockset Installation
  • Smoke Alarm Installation
  • Blind Tool ID: How well do you know your tools?
  • Race Car Competition (pinewood derby-style; wheels provided at HAA)
