Greater Houston Fair Housing Center
The
Greater Houston Fair Housing Center, Inc., was founded in 1999 by a
group of concerned attorneys and community activists. The agency was
set up as a new group utilizing HUD Fair Housing Initiatives Program
funds with the assistance of the National Fair Housing Alliance. The
Center is committed to educating housing consumers and providers. The
Center works to uphold Fair Housing law through investigation and
enforcement.
The
mission of the Texas Commission on Human Rights is to enhance the
quality of life and economic well-being of the citizens of Texas by
reducing discrimination in employment and housing through the
administration of the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act and the
Texas Fair Housing Act.
