Andy Teas, CAE, Vice President, Public Affairs Monitors government actions in Houston, Harris County and surrounding cities and districts, as well as the state and federal levels. Keeps members up-to-date on government action - pro and con - and works with government policymakers to see that the needs of the apartment industry are considered.

Emily Hilton, CPP, Vice President, Professional Development
Oversees the Houston Apartment Foundation education programs, including the APPLE workshops, professional designations, Distance Learning and the Career and Community Development Committee to promote careers.

Kirsten Deagen, CMP, Events & Meetings Plans and organizes general meetings, special events, golf tournaments, and fundraisers, including the Chili Fest, bowling and volleyball tournament, and the annual Installation Gala. She serves as staff liaison to the ACES (Apartment Community Executives and Supervisors) committee and plans their bimonthly programs. Kirsten is also responsible for overseeing the countless registrations for events and meetings.

Lisa Butler, Member Services/Membership Recruitment Answers questions about member benefits and services and coordinates volunteer involvement through the annual membership drive and the Go-Getter and Ambassador Clubs.

Amanda Sherbondy, Supplier Services/Marketing Opportunities Assists supplier members in marketing their business to owner/ management companies through ABODE and Directory & Buyer's Guide advertising, selling exhibit space for the annual HAA Education Conference & Expo and sponsorship auctions.

Art Eidman, Information Technology Oversees all information technology functions of HAA, including computer, data base and Web access for Resident Credit Reporting. Also oversees technical support for staff.

Will Alfaro, Webmaster/Online Media and IT Oversees online media including the Web site and e-mail communications. JobTarget support, Provides information technology and technical support for Rental Credit Reporting.

Aimee Bertrand Arrington, Public Relations/ Legislative Programs Works with members, Andy Teas and other staff to implement and achieve HAA government affairs and media/public relations goals.

Deborah Nix, Publications Oversees the creative development, editorial content and design of printed materials, including ABODE magazine, the annual Directory and Buyer's Guide, event marketing and related projects.

Rachel Zoch, Editorial Researches, writes and edits articles, coordinates and leads interviews, and creates layouts for ABODE magazine. Contacts and maintains relationships with outside writers and members on magazine content.

Nancy Li Lo, CPA, Controller, Accounting Oversees cash management and revenue collection. Monitors operations and bookkeeping for HAA's three corporations and the political action committee. Also handles personnel and employee benefits administration.

Cindy Ramirez, Accounting Assists in revenue collections and daily operational accounting items including record keeping, invoicing and member accounts.

Matilda Luna, Resident Relations Answers questions from both apartment personnel and residents concerning leases and owners rights and responsibilities to provide an alternative to filing court cases. Oversees the two Resident Relations Committees.

Luisa Arevalo, Resident Credit Reporting (RCR) Maintains Resident Credit Reporting, powered by CoreLogic SafeRent, providing rental credit information to RCR subscribers. Provides customer support for rental histories and enters database updates. Assists residents with disputes and handles report re-investigations.

Lana Shiller, Facility Services/Database Records Maintains membership records including property transactions, new construction and property management changes. Oversees office maintenance, facility rentals, supply purchase and vendor contracts.

Tina DeFiore, Rental Credit Reporting (RCR)
Responsible for the sales and marketing of
RCR, in partnership with CoreLogic SafeRent,
which includes the development of
marketing plans, recruitment of new subscribers, collection of data,
building partnerships with management districts and retention
programs for existing customers.

Frances Torres, Form Sales Assists on-site owner management staff with ordering forms helping to streamline the operating of their properties. The Texas Apartment Association lease, Redbook and many other forms are available.

Cynthia Gonzalez, Front Desk Responsible for answering incoming calls from members and the general public. Assists in the maintaining of the HAA database, registration processing and customer service for Resident Credit Reporting and Resident Relations.

about designation programs including as well as other other education
and professional development programs.
