March is Red Cross Fire Prevention Month

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Red Cross
staff and volunteers are on call to help families affected by fire and other
disasters with financial assistance for food, clothing and shelter as well as
much needed comfort and support.

Every 15 hours the Red Cross is helping
neighbors in need
·
Last year the Red Cross helped more than
3,000 individuals and 900 families recover from devastating fires.
·
75% of the fires the red cross responds to
are apartment fires
·
The red cross will spend $1 million on direct
immediate assistance to fire victims
·
