Students are also required to complete a Community Analysis project to receive the CAM designation. The analysis consists of examining an apartment community, reviewing each element that affects the community and defining the indicated steps that should be taken to refine/improve the operations of the community, both financially and operationally. Students are required to turn in the Community Analysis project prior to sitting for the comprehensive exam.

A mandatory Community Analysis Workshop will be held to provide guidance for the completion of this project; this will be held on Friday, August 27 for the spring/summer students and Friday, December 10 for the fall students. Each student must attend a Workshop to be eligible to sit for the exam and submit their project to NAA for grading.
