Education Grant

UPDATED December 30 2011: Applications are currently being accepted for all designation programs in 2012. Grants are awarded on a first come, first-serve basis while funds remain available, so don't delay. Please also note that changes to the grant recipient criteria have been made as of July 2011; please read over the new paperwork carefully before submitting for consideration.

Did you know Education Grants are available for each designation program from the National Apartment Association? The Houston Apartment Association, through the grant fund made possible via a percentage of the revenue generated from the annual Education Conference and Expo, underwrites the professional development of its members by over $20,000 each year. Competition for these awards is based on financial need and a commitment to earning a professional designation.

The Houston Apartment Foundation will pay 50 percent of the total cost of any NAA Certification program (CAM, CAS, CAPS, CAMT IROP, or NALP) for HAA members who need financial assistance, provided the following guidelines are met:

Individuals must successfully complete in full, a grant application that demonstrates financial need and a commitment to earning a professional designation, including signature of person making the recommendation. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Each applicant must be sponsored by their employer and requires an original letter of recommendation. Applicants must be employed by an HAA member in good standing.
