It's Expo time! Wednesday, May 19, Reliant Center, Hall D, only four days, 11 hours and 51 seconds away, but who's counting? Unlock a vault of golden networking and educational opportunities during the 2010 HAA Education Conference and Expo where we are celebrating 50 years of HAA. At the 1985 trade show we were wishing HAA a "Happy 25th!" now 25 years later, here we are celebrating another landmark in HAA history, and a bigger one at that.

This year's seminar will be, Apartment Industry All Stars in 2010. Our mission is to create value for our customers, we will deliver a brand new program designed to give your team concrete ideas to compete in this market. The value is in the ROI when these strategies are put into action. The All Stars promise to continue to deliver a high-energy experience to motivate your team members so they're ready to kick ideas, tools and techniques into action. This energy and momentum is powerful and it's critical as many team members participate in the seminar as possible. All Stars is an experience that hits maximum potential when everyone from your company attends and returns to work revitalized and renewed with the necessary tools for a prosperous year.

During the Apartment All Stars there will be three breakout sessions:

  • "Aspire to Inspire!" with Memorable Resident Retention Programs with Jackie Ramstedt

Even in a good market we are never guaranteed on keeping our residents. People have certain expectations no matter how much rent they pay and fulfilling those expectations is the key to their longevity. Creating a "stimulating and motivating" resident retention program that makes a lasting impression for your residents can be very challenging at times, especially when answering those difficult questions of their perceived value. Establishing a world class approach with specific goals for every member of your team must create an environment where our residents are our greatest advocates! Talk is cheap and our actions must speak for us.

  • Leasing: Connect and Create A Customer with Kate Good

Everything about our customers has changed and so the time has come for us to change if we want to stay in the game. The secret to earning a new customer is to first attract them by reaching out and creating our own traffic. Today, we know the laws of attraction are everything but what does it mean to building leasing skills? In this program, we will look at the new needs of the recession driven customer and channels you can use to reach them and close them. In this crowded market you need to learn how to stand out and it all starts by learning the newest

  • Customer Service: The Backbone of Any Organization with Bill Nye, Ph.D.

Your marketing and advertising efforts will bring customers through your doors but your customer service will keep them coming back. If your customer service doesn't support the marketing, advertising and leasing efforts of your organization you will have a constant struggle to be successful and profitable. During this session we will discuss the critical errors in customer service. These are common mistakes that you must identify and eliminate from your operation procedures. We will also discuss some of the top customer service techniques used to maximize the potential of any business.
